Guardian External Louvre Blind
Guardian performs the same energy and operating benefits of our Trojan external venetian blinds with additional features.

The louvre profile is formed to a section that provides a solid effect when closed and the mechanism enables the louvres to be locked closed. The operating mechanism is within the side guides and the louvres are drawn up and down from a drive in the guides that incorporates the tilting mechanism to open and close them.

As there are no support or lift tapes the closed blind is a deterrent to opportune thieves.

With the louvres closed as little as 3% of the solar gain will be transmitted through the glass. This reduces the air conditioning load or eliminates the need for it allowing healthier natural ventilation. In occupied areas blinds with the louvres in the 45° working position Guardian blinds will still reduce solar gain by over 90%
Trojan External Venetian Blind
Trojan external venetian blinds are the most efficient and flexible form of solar control. With the External venetians closed as little as 3% of the solar gain will be transmitted through the glass. This reduces the air conditioning load or eliminates the need for it allowing healthier natural ventilation. In occupied areas external venetian blinds with the louvres in the 45° working position Trojan blinds will still reduce solar gain by over 90%

Correctly adjusting to that position, the louvre angle of the External venetian Trojan blind considerably improves the distribution of daylight reducing high levels of light intensity close to the window and increasing light in the deeper recesses of the room. They also control diffuse light thus eliminating glare without impeding ventilation.

The external venetian blinds can be raised in the winter to enable beneficial gains on sunny days.

The heavy-duty louvres are held in position with side guides or cables. They can be manually operated from within the building but are normally motorised.

All remotely controlled from the interior either with a manual rod or an electric motor and in colours to make a statement or blend with the façade. To be most energy efficient there are many combinations of automated control by sun, light, wind or timer. External venetian trojan blinds can also be linked to a BMS or Home Management System.
Facade 125
Preventing the need for energy use for cooling is more cost effective than spending to make plant more efficient. Facade 125 saves that energy reducing the load from solar gain by up to 90% a significant cost saving. Stopping the gain before it reaches the glass is more energy efficient than paying to remove it. Allowing heat gains in winter maximises the benefit of free energy from the sun.

Unlike most building components, Facade 125 shading saves a multiple in carbon emissions of those created throughout its lifecycle, a better than near zero energy solution. It is the insulation of the transparent parts.

Facade 125 is a sustainable statement on your building. The substantial stainless-steel cables and the aluminium cross sections become a structural feature. The Mesh fabric in vibrant colours or muted tones gives control of heat, light and glare as well as a clear view out.

Thermal and visual comfort for the occupant - an effective and attractive solution.
Hemera External Roller Blind
External shading is essential to prevent overheating in low energy and passive house buildings. Hemera external blinds do that, reducing the load from solar gain by up to 90%, a significant cost saving. Stopping the gain before it reaches the glass is more energy efficient than paying to remove it.
Hemera Blinds have a compact aluminium top box and neat side guides or cables that retain the weighted bottom bar. The mesh screen material allows outward vision and control of daylight.

Although they can be manually operated from within the building for ease and convenience Hemera blinds are motorised.
For optimum energy saving they should be automatically controlled to react to varying weather conditions and can be linked to a Building and Home Management System.
Techtonic Non-Retractable Rooflight Blind
The Techtonic system has been specifically designed for roof applications, both internal and external.

Techtonic louvres supported from aluminium rack arms prevent the problem of sagging which can occur with retractable blinds. Techtonic is a very robust product that is virtually maintenance free.

With a range of aluminium and timber louvres it can be manually or electrically operated and linked into automatic or radio remote controls.
Once installed the fully adjustable louvres reduce solar heat gain, control glare, allow outward vision and ensure the best use of natural light and retain heat in winter.

Techtonic AV88
A version of our Techtonic range is designed to dim-out rooflights in audio visual rooms and for light control in art galleries.
Techtonic Non-retractable Louvres for shaped glazing
The Techtonic system has been specifically designed for roof applications, both external and internal. Even awkward shapes are elegantly shaded with Techtonic Blinds.

External Louvres Tetrix Aerofoil Louvres
Tetrix fins are fabricated from pre-coated aluminium to an aerofoil profile with end pins and side channels. They can be a fixed brise soleil or operated to adjust the louvre angle enabling control of solar gain and glare from different sun angles.

Louvre sizes are 210 and 300mm that can span up to 4.5m without horizontal support and 6m when fitted vertically. Robustly constructed Tetrix fins are a very effective and functional sun screen that will be a significant feature on your building.

Although manual operation is possible, they would usually be motorised to open and close and be linked to the Building Management System.
Equinox Timber
Equinox Timber Louvres are either a slatted profile or formed to an aerofoil section and are usual of cedar as it has an attractive grain pattern that weathers without the need for treatment.

The louvres are fitted to cast aluminium end bearings with aluminium side channels. They can either be fixed as a brise soleil or motorised to rotate with switches or automatic controllers. Manual adjustment is also possible.

Equinox - a natural material - shading as nature intended.
Rolling Shutters - VR130
Designed for security they also save energy by providing extra insulation from heat loss and noise. When closed they are very effective in reducing solar gain by as much as 97% and provide dim-out for bedrooms or audio visual presentations.

Shutter lath is of aluminium or PVC fitted into aluminium guides and boxing that has a durable powder coated paint finish in a range of colours with attractive rounded edges to avoid a harsh industrial look.
Control is usually electric with a tubular motor in the shutter roll although manual control with gearbox and rod or tape and inertia reel are possible. These are more practical if the shutter box is built into the building and insulated which is standard in many Continental countries.
It is more difficult to retro-fit in the UK as the drive has to pass through the concrete or steel window lintel so electric operation is often more practical to install. They can be individually operated or grouped and with timers to operate automatically and give the impression of occupation when you are away.

To be most energy efficient there are many combinations of automated control by sun, light, wind or timer. VR130 shutters can also be linked to a BMS or Home Management System.
Conservatory Awning
Hallmark conservatory awnings will transform your conservatory into a living space where the temperature is always comfortable, summer and winter. You can decide yourself how much sunlight and heat to let in. And by choosing your own fabric and frame colour, your conservatory will always bear your personal stamp. Enjoy the height of comfort year in, year out.

Reducing direct sunlight not only keeps excessive heat out but also stops your furnishings from fading. The awnings are fitted to run in line with the glazing and are always motorised. They retract neatly into a headbox when not in use and run down side guides that are fitted to the glazing bars. The unique tensioning system keeps the fabric tightly in line.

The rounded form of the headbox can be made to face downwards VZ520 or upwards with the flat side to the glazing VZ510, the choice is yours.

Control is from a wall switch although you may prefer a hand held radio remote sender and to ensure that your furnishings are protected when you are out an automatic sun and wind sensor to check for you.
Hallmark Foldaway Awning
The blind usually opens at an angle of 10-15 degrees from the horizontal and is supported on sprung arms that retract back into an aluminium box. They operate as if you were holding a bar and drawing your arms back towards your chest.

With projections up to 4 metres foldaway awnings extend your house into the garden. They are the perfect patio shade for sitting and idling on those hot summer days. Hallmark have a comprehensive range to cater for every demand.
The balance between cost and aesthetics is not compromised in the quality of the mechanisms and materials. The range is designed for the more robust needs of Northern European climes and should not be compared to lightweight awnings suited to Mediterranean conditions.
Drop Arm Awning DA700
Perfect for narrow and shorter drop windows DA700 awnings allow you to block out sunlight and heat, as much or as little as you want.

Adjusting the angle lets you decide how much light enters the house or office. With DA700 drop arm awnings you have a clear view out and sun protection.

The front rail of a drop arm blind lowers by gravity and is fixed to side arms that fall from a pivot point on the wall. So the projection is equal to the drop of the arm. They can made to fall to 90 degrees or, for protection from lower angle sun, up to 135 degrees.

Operation of DA700 drop arm awnings is either with a winding handle from the outside or with electric operation, just press a switch.
Hemera Markisolette
External shading is essential to prevent overheating especially in passive house and low energy buildings. Hemera Markisolette awnings can reduce the load from solar gain by up to 90%. Stopping the gain before it reaches the glass is more energy efficient than paying to remove it.

Hemera Markisolette drops as a roller blind down the top part of your window and then comes out on its side arms as an awning. The awning fabric reduces solar gain and the neat side guides and drop arms allow clear vision and good ventilation.

Hemera awnings have a compact aluminium top box with neat side guides and drop arms that retain the weighted front rail. Type 103 is fixed to the face of the building and type 120 can be recessed into the building fabric above the window.

They can be manually operated from within the building but for ease and convenience Hemara blinds are motorised. For optimum energy saving they should be automatically controlled to react to varying weather conditions and can be linked to a Building or Home Management System.
Sliding Arm Awning - SA700
Perfect for narrow and shorter drop windows SA700 awnings allow you to block out sunlight and heat, as much or as little as you want. Adjusting the angle lets you decide how much light enters the house or office.
With SA700 Sliding arm awnings you have a clear view out and sun protection.

Sliding arm awnings operate in the same way as the drop arm except that the pivot point moves up as the blind drops. There are three versions in our range with projections of 900mm up to 1950mm and four variations on the support arms.

Operation of SAS700 sliding arm awnings is either with a winding handle from the outside or, with electric operation, just press a switch.
